Facing a problem as the debilitating menstrual hygiene crisis requires an incredible team. We are grateful to have a committed team guiding the organization.

Innocent Ofoma

Innocent Ofoma

Co-Founder/President

Mr. Innocent (Inno) Ofoma graduated from Imperial College, London with an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience, and worked for over two decades in the Oil and Gas industry. During his career, he travelled to many countries, and his observations strengthened his desire to support the younger generation, especially girls in his home country of Nigeria, and Africa in general. He has been involved in many humanitarian works and activities since he was a student in London. There, he worked with homeless and substance abuse individuals. In the early days of Mustard Seed Organization, he established a free reading library in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Later on, Mustard Seed Organization carried out free medical services to communities in hard-to-reach areas, mostly in the central part of Nigeria. Working with his team members, he identified the unaddressed menstrual period crisis as a silent and debilitating crisis. Based on their observations, the mission of Mustard Seed Organization was refocused to make “PERIOD” poverty and its understanding in Nigeria, Uganda and other sub-Saharan African nations a thing of the past.
Inno currently lives in Texas, USA, with his wife and four children.
